Mission Bound

When I had graduated high school, I decided it was time to turn in my mission papers. I met with the bishop and the stake president and I had got all of the requirements done and my papers submitted. Now it came the time to wait for the call. I had prayed and prayed and prayed that I would serve a mission in a different country speaking Spanish. For the next two weeks I had a feeling that I would serve in the Midwest Spanish speaking. The day I opened my call I was standing in front of my friends and family, I was reading my call out loud when I came across the word Chile I thought at first this was a city in some State in the US. Then I read Concepcion south. I was so shocked that I was going to leave the country. I am the first one in my family to serve outside of the country. This is a huge deal for me! I got exactly what I wanted but I soon became nervous. I have never been out of the country before and did not know what to expect. The nice thing is that I have met a lot of people that have served or lived in Chile. I have been preparing to enter the MTC. This has required time getting clothes, items such as Spanish scriptures, and most importantly more in tune with the spirit. I have finished reading preach my gospel and am trying to get as far in the Book of Mormon as I can. I cant wait to get out and serve The Lord!!
Till next time
